I was like awww man this is only a novella but once I started reading OMG what a novella it is!!!
It's hot,it's sexy and boy oh boy do these two have major chemistry, my cheeks were a bright shade of red in a few scenes, I absolutely loved it! I won't give away any spoilers but THIS is how a novella is meant to be written! Start, middle and ending were perfect and it was wrapped up fabulously! Congratulations Lauren Blakely, Pretending he's Mine is my top novella so far for 2013!!

This was definitely a fun, cute read. It was just what I needed after reading a pretty heavy dark fantasy book. :) There wasn't a whole lot of depth to this story, but it was such an enjoyable read. Sutton calls upon Reeve to pretend to be her fiancee so she can land the job opportunity of a lifetime. In exchange, Reeve will also get the shot at one of the biggest leading male acting roles in the business.

I really liked Sutton and Reeve. Blakely did a great job of creating fun, flirty characters who quickly started blurring the lines of what was pretend and what was real. I think that was my favorite part of reading this book! Watching Sutton and Reeve struggle between deciding whether or not the other was truly acting a role was too much fun.

I personally think Reeve was a little more open that Sutton was. Sutton ran hot and cold, which drove Reeve crazy. One minute he'd think she actually wanted him and felt something more and the next he was confused by her withdrawn, hard nature. Watching him call her out on it in the wine cellar- ooh la la la! :)

Overall, if you're in the mood for a quick, light, enjoyable read- this book is a good choice!

Oh Reeve...You Rock My World!

Lauren Blakely's novella follow-up to Caught Up In Us is a 5 Star wonder. I love novellas and wished more authors wrote them. They are the perfect size to squeeze into a lazy morning or for a few hours when you can't sleep at night. At any rate, this was a great love story. I liked it because the relationship starts off the way I think most do...with intense attraction (or in this case, lust). Major like, and then love, develops later. This story follows the lust part of the relationship and it is H-O-T. You will never go to a theater production or library again without thinking about Reeve and Sutton.

I completely loved Reeve. Sutton I didn't quite warm up to but in hindsight, I think it's because her character was true to her heritage. She was British and a film industry higher up. She was supposed to be cool and untouchable. That didn't last long the more she got to know Reeve.

Great read...get it now!!!

A winner for Tara Sivec.

"I have to keep going. If I’m caught, I’ll be dead."

This suspenseful thriller will have you asking questions until the very end. A different venture for Tara, Bury Me was a carefully crafted story with multiple layers, driven by a girl and the prison she calls home.

"Nothing is falling into place and everything feels wrong."

Prepare yourself for a couch date. With the twisting plot lines Tara throws at you there will be no time to "pick it back up tomorrow." Tara has dipped her writing hand into romantic suspense but Bury Me takes her to a completely different level. Leave the penis jokes at the home please because Tara has checked another box off her "can do list" and Bury Me will yet again show her in a whole new light.

Psychological Thriller at its best! I was completely mindblown!

So I did something I don't normally do....I read other people's reviews before writing my own. I needed to make sure that what I was thinking and feeling after finishing this book was even remotely close to others. Needless to say, the resounding words from everyone, including me are:

WHAT IN THE EVER LOVING F#$%@# DID I JUST READ AND WHOSE DEMENTED TWISTED MIND DID THIS COME FROM?!?!?!?

Anyone that has ever read Tara Sivec has come to expect humor. Like rolling on the floor, pee in your pants ridiculous humor. Then, she stunned us all with the most heartfelt of stories including "Watch Over Me." Now, Tara has gone where I never saw coming, the true psychological thriller, the mindf#$% of a rollercoaster, edge of your seat crazy.

"Bury Me" is dark. Black hole dark. The characters are eerie and scary. I read this book beginning to end in a matter of hours because I couldn't put it down. I had no idea where the story was leading. I knew that the parents scared me, stories didn't match up and Ravenna Duskin is a very strange girl. Even as I got to the end and the truth was revealed, I still was completed screwed again when I read the epilogue. "Bury Me" is definitely being added to my list of favorites for a genre I never even knew I loved until recently.

If you have ever had the chance to meet Tara Sivec in person, you've met a legend. Just like the characters in all of her books, she is the funniest, craziest, sweetest most completely batsh#$@#$ crazy person I have ever met. "Bury Me" is that demented side of her, the one we all knew had to be there but she just hadn't discovered it yet. I am seriously glad she did and can't wait to see what personality she reveals next!

Not quite a page-turner, but this book presents good applications of tensor math. Sometimes difficult to follow, the book omits many "assumed" steps. However, a fine escape into the world of absolute differential calculus.

The best book on Physiology - by far!

As a Physics PhD, with a great interest in human physiology, I have read, or attempted to read a great number of books, from all the main authors on the subject. While there are many excellent books to consider, none, in my opinion come close to this book. Clear but without being simplistic, always to the point and with a great writing style, it never gets boring or convoluted, delivering the maximal amount of information per page. The great illustrations help cement the knowledge, but it is the writing that is engaging. I will go as far as saying that this book reads almost like a best selling novel, making it hard to put down as one moves from one concept to the next. One suggestion to make this the perfect book is to include a chapter on the immune system in the next edition. Thanks to the authors for writing such a great book on such a fascinating subject.

The Best Review of Physiology for the USMLE Step 1!

Forget about BRS Physiology with boring dry style, short on clinical correlations, lacking in the major important areas (like acid-base physiology), and with the shameful number of illustrations. LIR Physiology is the new standard for studying physiology and reviewing it for the USMLE step 1. Everything important is here, presented succinctly, explained elegantly, and illustrated with the hundreds of beautiful illustrations. And what's most important for the USMLE Step 1 - there are numerous clinical correlations with detailed yet concise discussions which undoubtedly will help you to ace the boards. Multiple choice questions at the end of each chapter are also much better in LIR Physiology - unlike those in BRS Physiology they are mostly case-based and USMLE-ish.

Beau Sia is the son of Chinese immigrants from the Philippines. An original cast member of the Tony award winning, Def Poetry Jam on Broadway, Beau has shared his work on stages all over the world at festivals, universities, and conferences. He is the author of, "A Night Without Armor II: The Revenge," has had roles in the films "Slam," and "Rachel Getting Married," and wrote the lyrics for the hip-hop musical "Krunk Fu Battle Battle." Toward the Genuine

When I first met Beau back in the mid 1990s he was in his late teens and reading at Paul Medina's coffee house on the Paseo in Oklahoma City. He was a star in his ability to entertain. Though some of the other local poets were put off by his hyperbolic self image, his audacity and his sharp wit always thrilled me.The one thing that was totally obvious at the time was how serious he was about becoming a poet. My advice to him was (and even though things have improved here, would still be) get out of Oklahoma as fast as you can--go to New York.

He started his film studies at NYU, became an instant favorite at the Nuyrorkian, made friends with Allen Ginsberg, and acted in his first movie (Slam). He was a cast member of Def Jam on Broadway and toured for several years. While I consider him a friend, he was busy, I was much older, in Oklahoma,and so we have never corresponded. I think I can objectively say his newest book "The Undisputed Greatest Write of All Time" is a wonderful accomplishment. His first book in fifteen years, he has gained depth and wisdom without losing his audacity. Marianne Moore wrote about poetry that:

"if you demand on the one hand,
the raw material of poetry in
all its rawness and
that which is on the other hand
genuine, you are interested in poetry."

This bit of verse by Ms Moore perfectly describes why I am "interested" in Beau Sia--he is both raw and completely genuine. His newest poems are very personal. . . because life is personal. I love this book and I love his publisher, Write Bloody Books. Beau's book will fill several slots on my Christmas list. I wish him and all a Happy New Year.

Honest, reflective and unapologetic, Beau Sia pushes towards an evolution more humane and more infinite, illuminating connections past, present, future, within a nonlinear relative continuum. Sometimes funny and always personal, Beau displays unmatched dexterity with unexpected and provocative strokes. This is a valuable work by an impeccable craftsman. Another great book

This is the second in a series of workbooks for the SAI Speed Math Academy's Abacus Mind Math Course. It provides 10 additional weeks of daily math practice problems and mental exercises.

All of their books are well written, nicely illustrated, easy to read, understand and follow. They make learning easy and fun.

This is a workbook for daily exercise and practice. The Instruction Book covers the "how to do it" part of the course.

All of these SAI books are well worth the price paid. Highly recommended.

Love this book! Concepts are introduced in perfect order and the skill building week/practice work is very helpful. I used the workbook 1 and 2 to practice on my mind math and I loved it. Perfectly organized and it was very easy for me to build my skills. My child is having fun with this. I think the shapes puzzle is interesting. Wish they had more of these. It is nice to have an answer key, but I feel it should have been in the Instruction book.
